JAM(just a minute)
JAM (Just a Minute) is a performance storytelling series that brings artists to meaningful locations for a live performance. It is followed by a mini-documentary about the location, providing insight into the song the artists performed. Each location is chosen to add context and depth to the song and story.

TASK AT HAND
The team at JAM had been working on this project for over a year and have shot and edited a few videos before they reached out to us. They had an accumulation of content but had zero plans for social and digital strategy. That's where we came into play.

Tunji brings ‘Hear Me Out’ to life @violentnoise - a house turned creative workshop.
THE RESULTS WERE
After a few conversations with the JAM team we concluded that they needed assistance with social media assets, a social media strategy(paid ads, scheduling, uploading), and a brand refresh including a website. The SOUN team worked closely with JAM to create something bespoke that resonated with the project.
The first thing we did was tweak the logo and word mark. In true fashion, we jammed up the kerning a bit. A subtle emphasis but a guiding design principle throughout the different design touch points. In addition, since JAM is an acronym for (just a minute) we decided to lean into the parentheses and incorporate those as design elements.
We also created two bespoke icons/icon sets and logos used throughout socials. Since the concept of JAM is performance and documentary we created two logos that would represent each of those pillars. For performance we incorporated the word mark into a vinyl icon and for film we incorporated JAM into a film strip.
Lastly, since this was a new project and needed to build a following we developed a strategic marketing plan that allowed for steady growth of followers. First, we ensured we did collaborative posts with the artist to convert some of their followers to us. Secondly, with analytic research we categorized the demographic of viewers and developed a plan for targeted ads on Youtube and Instagram.
